What is Eos?
Eos is a private AI companion you talk to by voice or text. This page states, plainly, what it is and how it works. It sells nothing; the home page is where the case is made.
What it is
- Eos is a private AI companion. You talk to it by voice or text.
- It runs on a large language model, as other AI companions do. What differs is what is built around it: memory that carries across conversations, noticing patterns over weeks, following up on what you said you would do, and a set of things it is deliberately built not to do.
- It is one companion. There is no avatar, no character to customise, and no persona to role-play. It tells you it is an AI and talks to you as itself.
- It is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it.
- It is a paid product with a 7-day trial. There is no permanent free tier.
- It is built and operated by Itslexa, in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh, India.
What it does
- It remembers. It keeps what you tell it across conversations: names, what you are going through, what matters to you. You do not explain yourself twice.
- It notices. If the same thing has sat unchanged for weeks, it says so once, asks first, and describes the pattern rather than the person.
- It asks what is in the way, then offers one concrete step matched to the reason, drawn from research on how people change rather than from motivation.
- It follows up. It remembers what you said you would do and asks how it went next time. The follow-up waits for you; it never reaches out.
- It also just listens. Sometimes nothing needs solving. It will not hand you a plan when what you needed was for someone to sit with it.
- It shows you change. Every so often it places something you said months ago next to something you said this week, both in your own words.
- It writes weekly chapters that reflect the week back to you in your own words. On the voice plans it can also send a short personal note each morning.
What it isn't
- It is not therapy and not a crisis line. It says so itself, and if you are ever in real danger it stops and points you toward people who can actually help.
- It is not a romantic partner and will not role-play one. It is not a character or an avatar.
- It is not built to keep you. No streaks, no notifications, no number that dies if you skip a day. Nothing is sent when you are away. When you say goodnight, it says goodnight.
- It is not a replacement for the people in your life. It is somewhere to put things down when nobody is available, so you can take them to a real person later.
- It is not free, and it carries no ads.
How memory works
- Eos remembers you across conversations: names, what you are going through, what matters to you.
- You can see everything it has remembered on a Memory page, and remove any item. A removed memory is gone within one turn, even during a live voice call.
- You can forget a single message, export everything as a file, or delete the whole account in one action.
- Weekly chapters reflect on your week in your own words.
How privacy works
- Your conversations, memories, moods and everything Eos writes about you are encrypted before they are saved. A stolen database would yield noise, plus the fact that you have an account and when you used it.
- The founder holds the one encryption key, because Eos needs it to read your history back and reply. There is no admin screen for reading conversations. The site says plainly that this is a promise, not a lock.
- Nothing is sold. Nothing you say trains any AI model.
- Replies are generated through Anthropic's API. Anthropic does not train on your messages and deletes its copy within 30 days.
- Voice runs through Hume with zero data retention on the account: no transcripts or recordings kept on their side. What you said becomes text inside Eos, encrypted like everything else.
- Deletion is real and immediate. No recycle bin, no 30-day grace period.
- Full detail is on the privacy page and the security page.
Who it's for
- People who want someone to talk to at hours nobody else is awake.
- People carrying something they have stopped saying out loud.
- People who just want to talk about their day. It is not only for the heavy stuff.
- Anyone who wants a companion that remembers them and takes privacy seriously.
- It is not for anyone under 18, anyone looking for romance or role-play, or anyone in crisis who needs clinical help.
